Subject [jira] Updated: (DERBY-4464) "select * from table where intColumn < int3 and intColumn in (int1, int2)" always returns empty

Kristian Waagan updated DERBY-4464:
-----------------------------------

     Affects Version/s: 10.3.1.4
         Fix Version/s: 10.3.2.1
Bug behavior facts: [Wrong query result]

Set affect and fix versions.
Note that 10.3.2.1 has been deprecated, use 10.3.3.0 instead - or preferably a newer version.

I'm unable to reproduce in any newer version with the provided repro db.
Around 86 commits were made between 10.3.1.4 (r561794) and 10.3.2.0 (r598453). I haven't investigated
which commit fixed the issue, and I haven't checked if this bug is present in 10.2.

Can the reporter confirm that the bug isn't observed with a newer Derby version?

> There is a "CUSTOMERS" table with an INTEGER type column "CUSTOMERNUMBER".
> Access db through Apache Derby Embedded JDBC Driver,
> "select CUSTOMERNUMBER from CUSTOMERS where CUSTOMERNUMBER in (103, 112)" returns 103
and 112 two rows.
> However "select CUSTOMERNUMBER from CUSTOMERS where CUSTOMERNUMBER < 121 and CUSTOMERNUMBER
in (103, 112)" returns empty
