Starting with V5R4 IBM added a 32 bit JVM which is just a modified version of the codebase
they use on AIX.  This JVM doesn't have the problem with derby 10.4.1.3 that the Classic JVM
does.  We are using the new JVM going forward.  You can consider this issue resolved.  Thanks
