Knut Anders Hatlen commented on DERBY-3420:
-------------------------------------------

If we remove all traces of it in the documentation and the usage message, it'll eventually
end up as dead code that no one understands the purpose of anyway. If we think that users
should use another mechanism, and that the -ca option is barely used (probably true since
it's not documented), would it be a cleaner solution to remove both the code and the usage
message and add a release note telling users what they should do instead?

> The ij tool gives the following help output:
> Usage: java org.apache.derby.tools.ij [-p propertyfile] [-ca connectionAttributePropertyFile]
[inputfile]
> The -ca connectionAttributePropertyFile option is no longer needed and is deprecated,
so it is not documented in the Tools Guide. The option should also be removed from the usage
statement.
