Here is a patch suggestion (derby-3270-dhw) that makes ViewsTest and the lang suite run ok.
Haven't run all regressions yet. Could this be a reasonable solution? It basically takes note
of the 
compilation schema of the view when it is being expanded and sets it as current compilation
schema when expressions in the subquery are being bound, too..
