Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-2389) DOCS - Move Derby system and properties info from Tuning Guide into Reference Manual

Knut Anders Hatlen commented on DERBY-2389:
-------------------------------------------

derby.storage.initialPages:

>From the description, it sounds like it is a dynamic property. Whenever it is set, subsequent
CREATE TABLE and CREATE INDEX statements should use it. That's also what seems to be the intention
of the code.

However, when I tested it, the property didn't seem to get picked up. I tried to set it both
with the SYSCS_UTIL.SYSCS_SET_DATABASE_PROPERTY procedure and as a system property, but the
tables I created were always initialized with one page only (even after a reboot). Don't know
what I'm doing wrong...
