I can't tell from the comments.  Have you reproduced this problem starting fresh from a new
uncorrupted database against the latest 10.4 release or a hand built 10.3 release with the
recent I/O bug fixed?  Once a checksum error happens it is unlikely any future release will
fix it.  So if your application has an existing db embedded in it with the error no future
software is likely to fix it.
