Daniel John Debrunner commented on DERBY-3310:
----------------------------------------------

The commit log is not the correct place.

I don't know where the correct place is, but it seems to be explaining how various nodes work
together etc.,
so appropriate comments in the javadoc for nodes and/or their methods seems the best. I'm
sure it's not just
a matter of taking the text and placing it in one location. It just seems a shame for the
information Army worked hard
to produce not to be in the most useful place.

If anyone gains understanding of any piece of code during development or bug-fixing then it's
best for the community
if that knowledge is kept, typically by adding comments to the code.

Another option is the language how-it-works section on the wiki, there it probably could be
as a single document.
