The user documentation should include a section that reflects how a user can affect the store
by hardware/os setting choices
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DERBY-2778
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-2778
             Project: Derby
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Documentation
            Reporter: Myrna van Lunteren
            Priority: Minor

It would be nice if there was a section in the documentation that details how a user's hardware,
or OS or filesystem choices affect the database.

For instance, DERBY-2020 reflects a change of how log files are created.

Another example to document maybe would be whether a database can be spread over separate
disks. Or what happens if a user creating a database doesn't have a umask setting that enables
writes...
