Subject [jira] Updated: (DERBY-2555) Remove use of doPrivileged in EncryptionKeyTest
Date Tue, 08 May 2007 11:37:16 GMT

Kristian Waagan updated DERBY-2555:

    Attachment: derby-2555-1a.diff

Attaching a patch that removed the doPrivileged-blocks from the test.
If I apply this patch and run tests.store._Suite (which currently run all the three encryption
key tests), I get 9 errors (three per algorithm); testInvalidRestoreFrom, testRestoreFrom
and testCreateDbFromBackup.

The patch cannot be committed before DERBY-2556 has been resolved.

> When converted to JUnit, the test originally wrapped connections used to create/restore
databases from a backup image in doPrivileged-calls. This was done to allow the backup images
to be read by Derby. It should not be necessary, as the Derby code itself should use doPrivileged-calls
in the appropriate places.
