The web-based tutorial now at http://db.apache.org/derby/papers/DerbyTut/index.html was originally developed for ApacheCon, not for the doc set.

It's starting to become obsolete -- for example, needs to be updated for 10.2.2.0 features (it uses the old scripts, doesn't say anything about derbyrun.jar). If your new effort can replace it, terrific. I'd be happy to remove it.
