Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-2463) Create runtime statistics parser for junit tests
Date Fri, 16 Mar 2007 22:48:09 GMT

Manish Khettry commented on DERBY-2463:

These questions may be silly but here goes

1. Is it possible that the RuntimeStatisticsParser constructor can be called with a null value
for rts?
2. Since the procedure SYSCS_UTIL.SYSCS_GET_RUNTIMESTATISTICS() returns a RuntimeStatistics
object it seems a shame to convert this object to a string and then parse it. Is it possible
to manipulate this object directly?
3. A common usage for something like this would be
  a. set runtime statistics on
  b. parse and possibly execute query.
  c. look at runtime stats.
It would be nice if there was a helper method to combine all these steps into one routine
especially if the test does not care about results returned in 2.
4. It would be nice if we could extract other information from this parser, not just the isolation
