Myrna van Lunteren commented on DERBY-2143:
-------------------------------------------

The patch looks good.
However, I do have a question re the Brazilian Portuguese files that you don't intend to commit...

I ran my little localization-check tool (which apparently doesn't work quite as well as I
thought, it gave me some false failures about non-existing messages, and missed others), and
compared the translated pt_BR files from your patch and found the following noteworthy differences
between the current english, and current Brazilian, and I conclude that Halley's work has
fallen behind a bit:

- My recent change for DERBY-2110 (revision 479527) have not been implemented.
     I can easily do that after you've checked the other files in
- No translations for the following messages:
  43Y58.U; 43Y59.U; 43Y60.U; 43Y61.U; J132; J133; XBCXNO.S; XBCXNP.S; XBCXNQ.S; XBCXNR.S;
XBCXNS.S; XBCXNT.S; XBCXNU.U, XBCXV.U; XSDAN.S; 2200M; 2200V; 2200W; (42X46; 42X47); 42Z70-42Z79;
XJ092.S; XML00; XML01; 0A000.S.7; 01J03; 01J09; 01J11; 01J14; I026; IJ_NoSuchTable; IJ_Rse0;

    In addition, there is no translation for parts of the ij_HelpText message:
    - SHOW SCHEMAS; SHOW TABLES; SHOW INDEXES; DESCRIBE
- Following messages seem quite different:
  2200L; XJ086.S;
  and DBLOOK_Usage refers to jcc url instead of the Derby Client.
- Following messages have different number of parameters:
  DRDA_Ready.I, DRDA_ShutdownSuccess.I
- The following have been removed  X0X14.S; X0X15.S; X0X16.S; X0X17.S; X0X18.S; X0XML.S.
  (changed to other numbers, looks like; X0X14 is now 42Z70, for example).

Halley - if you're following this discussion, do you intend to translate the missing messages
/ fix up the differences?

If not, I'll volunteer to patch the brazilian files up based on the translations above.

Finally, probably superfluous, I think adding new languages will cause test failures - at
least in the derbynet/sysinfo* tests...The masters for those will have to get fixed up.
