Subject [jira] Updated: (DERBY-2101) Make suites. All runnable without specifying derby.system.home for the 10.2 branch
Date Mon, 20 Nov 2006 13:11:03 GMT

Kristian Waagan updated DERBY-2101:

    Attachment: derby-10.2-junitfix.diff

'derby-10.2-junitfix.diff' contains two small fixes for the JUnit infrastructure in 10.2:
 1) Allows tests to be run without specifying derby.system.home, by allowing test system to
determine that it runs without the old harness.
 2) Test logs are written to directory 'logs' (for instance the network server console log).

Both code changes are already done in trunk, but merging the original patches will touch a
lot more files and might make some tests not run due to functional/interface changes.

> The JUnit test suite 'suites. All' does not run correctly in 10.2 if derby.system.home
is not specified.
> There is also a bug which causes an invalid path if derby.system.home is specified without
an ending file separator (ie. '/' for Unix).
