Bryan Pendleton commented on DERBY-1431:
----------------------------------------

Hi Stan and Andrew, thanks for the feedback! I completely agree that a richer folder
structure for the demo materials is superior.

However, I'm still puzzled: all 3 of the zip files that I downloaded: 10.2, 10.1.2,
and 10.1.3, just contained a simple 'demo' folder, and did not contain the 'programs'
and 'databases' sub-folders.

Am I looking in the wrong place? Or is there a build/packaging problem in the
distribution process which is causing the downloadable zip files to have an unexpected
folder structure?

For example, I downloaded "Derby 10.2.0.3 alpha (June 6, 2006 / SVN 412239)"
from http://db.apache.org/derby/binaries/db-derby-snapshot-10.2.0.3-412239.zip
as described on http://db.apache.org/derby/derby_downloads.html#Snapshot+Jars

In that zip file, I do not see any demo/programs directory. Nor do I see a
demo/databases directory.

Under "demo", I see only: nserverdemo, simple, and toursdb.

Am I misunderstanding your comment? When you access a 10.2 distribution are
you getting a zip file which has a demo/programs directory?

> There is a small typo in frameworks/readme.html.
> The link "see the simple example" links to
> ../demo/programs/simple/example.html
> but it should link to
> ../demo/simple/example.html
> because there is no "programs" folder in the "demo" subtree.
> I'm attaching a patch for review.
