Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-1448) derbynet/sysinfo.java fails with 10.1 client and 10.2 server

Kathey Marsden commented on DERBY-1448:
---------------------------------------

Is the permission:
 java.util.PropertyPermission "java.class.path", "read";
A new permission requirement for 10.2 for sysinfo?

I had actually always thought this was required, but if it is a new requirement for 10.2 there
might be issues, especially now that we dump sysinfo to derby.log.

> ------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: DERBY-1448
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1448
> Project: Derby
> Type: Test

> Components: Test
> Environment: derbyclient.jar and derbyTesting.jar from 10.1
> all other jars from 10.2
> Reporter: Deepa Remesh
> Priority: Minor

>
> The test fails with following diff:
> > Unable to analyze class path: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission java.class.path
read)
> I think the following permission has to be granted to derby.jar and derbynet.jar in 10.1.
This is present in 10.2 test policy file:
> permission java.util.PropertyPermission "java.class.path", "read";//sysinfo
