Spawning Data on Multiple Directories
-------------------------------------

         Key: DERBY-1294
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1294
     Project: Derby
        Type: New Feature

  Components: Store
    Reporter: Rodrigo Madera
    Priority: Minor

Currently Derby creates it's database file structure on a single directory.

This feature request suggests that the Sotrage engine be able to segment the database into
different places, for example:

[Windows Workstation]
C:\Somewhere 15GB
D:\Paradise 5GB
F:\Other\Places 1GB

and still be only one database.

More info on the Derby Users Thread: "Spawning Data on Multiple Directories".
