Subject [jira] Resolved: (DERBY-178) Provide line number information in distribution's class files
Date Wed, 10 May 2006 07:07:05 GMT
Andrew McIntyre resolved DERBY-178:

    Fix Version:
     Resolution: Fixed
     Derby Info: [Release Note Needed]

With revisions 405655 and 405656, added targets to tools/release so that future official releases
of Derby include a lib-debug distribution containing jars built with line number tables and
non-optimized for easy use in debugging.

Marking this Resolved. Jorg, please close this if the lib-debug distributions in the upcoming
10.1.3 release in June satisfy this requirement to your satisfaction.

> To make debugging easier using the derby distribution provided for download, it would
be nice to have line numbering information included in the classes. With javac, that would
be providing the option "-g" in the compiler's commandline.
