Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-1305) Derby Server and Administration Guide translated into Brazilian Portuguese

Andrew McIntyre commented on DERBY-1305:

Hi Halley,

I'm hoping to keep most - if not all - language specific build targets out of the top level
build.xml and keep as much as possible in the lower-level build.xml files. So it would be
nice if the new targets that you added to the top level build.xml file were moved to src/pt_BR/build.xml
and worked properly when run there. But, this could also be dealt with in the future, since
those targets are the only targets dealing with translation, and I could take care of rearranging
the build targets later when moving the English-specific targets to a new src/en/build.xml
file. Something to think about for the future, when/if there are multiple translated versions
of the documentation. Feel free to commit the new translated manual and build file as-is.

> Key: DERBY-1305
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-1305
> Project: Derby
> Type: Improvement

> Components: Documentation
> Versions:
> Environment: DITA-sourced documentation
> Reporter: Halley Pacheco de Oliveira
> Fix For:,
> Attachments: adminguide.tgz, build.diff, build.diff.html
> DITA files for the new entry %DOC_ROOT%/trunk/src/pt_BR/adminguide/ in DITA-sourced documentation.
> pt_BR name = "Guia do Servidor e AdministraĆ§Ć£o do Derby"
> There are also attached diff files to modify the files build.xml and src/pt_BR/build.xml,
once currently the Brazilian Portuguese manuals are only build when using "ant all". With
the modifications these files will allow to build the Brazilian Portuguese manuals without
having to build the English manuals, and will allow to build only a certain kind of Brazilian
Portuguese manuals (pdf, for example).
