Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-983) NetClient JDBC (40) using engine classes
Date Wed, 15 Feb 2006 01:14:09 GMT

David Van Couvering commented on DERBY-983:

Actually, I'd like to add that I'm uncomfortable with shorthand methods because this increases
the overall size of the class. One shorthand method is no big deal, but if this becomes a
pattern that others follow, then we could have a *lot* of shorthand methods, creating code
bloat where we don't really need it. Just trying to keep in mind one of our key differentiators,
and that's Small Footprint.
