I don't  object porting this fix.

The only concern  that might be worth mentioning in consideration to
porting  to 10.1 is that this changes the server log file locations and
could potentially require applications to change their policy file if
they allow tracing to be enabled and don't specify derby.system.home.  
It is a bug fix  to correct  the location and probably a fairly low
risk.  Anyone object to porting it?
