Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-450) dblook should be able to use Network Client driver to connect to Network server

A B commented on DERBY-450:

Can you give an example of the dblook command that you're using?

I tried using dblook with the following client URLs and it worked as expected:

java org.apache.derby.tools.dblook -d jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/testDB -verbose

java org.apache.derby.tools.dblook -d "jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/testDB;user=someUsr;password=somePwd"

I also looked at the source code for dblook and the logic is there for the client url/driver,
so it seems like everything should be working. If you can post more details--what the error
message is, what your dblook command is, and the output from the "dblook.log" file, that might
help us figure out what the problem is.

> Currently dblook can hook to Network server using IBM DB2 driver.
> It does not support the database URL for Network Client driver whereas ij supports this.
> Support for drivers by all tools should be consistent.
