OK. I can change the bug to ENHANCEMENT, if that is more appropriate.
The documentation also says <b>dblook </b>dumps ALL database objects
in several places, including <a
 href="http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/tools/rtoolsdblookexamples.html">here</a>.
May be it means just the list of objects mentioned here. <span

<br>
In any case I think it would be nice to address this for 10.1 release,
if possible.<br>

Satheesh Bandaram updated DERBY-337:
    <br>
------------------------------------
    <br>
    <br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Description: DBLOOK schema dumping tool doesn't emit SQL statements
for functions.
    <br>
  </blockquote>
  <br>
Maybe I'm being too particular here, but this doesn't strike me as a
"bug" so much as an enhancement request.&nbsp; The documentation for dblook
doesn't list functions as one of the generated DDL targets--see here:
  <br>
  <br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/tools/ctoolsgenddldb.html">http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/tools/ctoolsgenddldb.html</a>
  <br>
  <br>
Stored procedures are on the list, yes, but functions are not.&nbsp; And
according to the documentation, they're not the same.&nbsp; What this JIRA
entry is asking for is new functionality, as opposed to a fix for
broken functionality.
  <br>
  <br>
Okay, okay, it's a technicality.&nbsp; But still...
