Subject [jira] Commented: (DERBY-150) Disable logging
Date Mon, 06 Jun 2005 08:04:40 GMT

Amit Handa commented on DERBY-150:

To further work on this topic there are two things

1. To identify a test case that logging consumes time cycles.

2. And if logging is turned off as described here http://incubator.apache.org/derby/docs/adminguide/tadminlogfile.html

Does it bring the required results ? In that case it may not be a bug...

Can somebody or the submitter please file some sort of reproducible here ?

> Disable logging
> ---------------
> Key: DERBY-150
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-150
> Project: Derby
> Type: New Feature
> Environment: all
> Reporter: Barnet Wagman

> As a means of improving performance, I would like to be able to disable logging completely.
> I use Derby in applications thatnever use rollback and I suspect that quite a lot of
time is going to logging.
> Thanks
