I'm not able to submit anything friday evening your time since I'm
going on a short vacation (Monday and Tuesday are national holidays
here in Norway).

I'll sumbit the new patch later today (around 14:00 CEST, i.e. 05:00
PST).

I will prefix all the metioned constnats with the DB2_ prefix (from
comments in the code where they are used, it seems definitely
appropriate).
