I have informed the Incubator PMC (via pmc@incubator.apache.org) that
there is interest in a Derby release. After checking with Ken, it looks
like we should be working toward putting our release together, but we
cannot post anything publicly on the Derby website as an official
'incubation' release without the Incubator PMC's approval.

There is also still some work to be done on our side, of course, based
on the list that I posted earlier, and of course more issues will
probably come up while we're working towards the release. But, since it
looks like since Subversion access is imminent, we will finally be able
to get started. :)

Also, I'll be away on vacation, leaving tomorrow and returning the
26th, and will not have email access during most of that time. So, for
those posting concerns and opinions about the release, it's not that
I'm ignoring them, it's that I won't be able to read them until I
return. As soon as I get back though, I hope to continue getting the
release together asap, and hopefully by then we may be pretty close,

Ken, I heard there has been some work on getting nightly builds of
Derby going. This would be helpful so interested parties can evaluate
binaries for a release. Any news on that?

Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Darwin)
