The doap_Derby.rdf file should be updated for new releases.
+BIS - Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
-As of revision 507398 (Tue, 13 Feb 2007) the bis_DERBY.rdf is no longer used
-for updating the ASF exports info. Instead, the file listed below should be
-updated directly and the site rebuilt:
- https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk/xdocs/licenses/exports/index.xml
-Several people on the DB PMC have karma to update the file, rebuild the infra
-site, and publish changes.
-Leave the bis_DERBY.rdf in place for now in case the strategy changes back.
-old info:
-The bis_DERBY.rdf file in this directory is not part of the Derby
-web site. It provides export information, in DOAP format, for
-http://www.apache.org/licenses/exports/ . The DOAP file can reside
-anywhere; the pointer to the location is stored in:
- https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk/docs/licenses/exports/export-registry.xml
-The bis_DERBY.rdf file should not need to be updated for new releases.
+ASF exports info is maintained at http://www.apache.org/licenses/exports/.
+For Derby, the file listed below should be updated directly (typically using
+the Apache CMS):
+ https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site/trunk/content/licenses/exports/index.page/eccnmatrix.xml
+There is usually no need to update the information for new Derby releases.
+Derby is listed for its use of the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) API.
+The above information was earlier kept in the bis_DERBY.rdf file.
