  ||Release Notes|| Rick || The release notes lint tool should object when it sees text which
will confuse the Apache cgi scripts. Right now, the release notes checked into the branch
can't be put onto the Apache website when we publish the release. This is because the website's
cgi scripts hiccup when they see certain characters. ||
  || Buddy Testing || Rick || Buddy testing should start several weeks before the first release
candidate is generated. ||
  || Buddy Testing || Rick || If a feature finishes up early, it would be good to vet a snapshot

artifacts, and publishing those artifacts to the Apache mirrors; DERBY-2572 - Write a master
script which creates a release branch; DERBY-2573 - Create master ant target for generating
all release artifacts, including code and doc artifacts; DERBY-2574 - Create master script
or ant target for publishing release artifacts after the community vets the release. I have
been planning to get to these, but other things always seem more urgent. ||
+ || Build process || Myrna || updating the masters for each version bump is irritating, even
with an ant target. I logged DERBY-3088 to address this ||
