DdlUtils for Derby : Incorrect syntax when converting varchar values to numeric values - NUMERIC()
function is not recognized by Derby
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DDLUTILS-273
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DDLUTILS-273
             Project: DdlUtils
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Core - Derby/Cloudscape/JavaDB
    Affects Versions: 1.0
Environment: operating system : windows 7
Derby database version 10.7.1.1
            Reporter: patrick dutrevis
            Assignee: Thomas Dudziak

The problem appears when running the ddlToDatabase task
a column that used to be a varchar data type column is turned into a numeric type column
DdlUtils recreates the table with the desired columns definition and tries to restore the
table records using a "NUMERIC()" Derby function to turn string values to numeric values.
However the INSERT statement fails because there is no such thing as a NUMERIC() function
