How about you put the jar file "xml-resolver-1.2.jar" in your webLogic
classpath?
(keep this
-Djavax.xml.stream.XMLInputFactory=com.ctc.wstx.stax.WstxInputFactory
setting)

Or make sure CXF's jars in your classpath.

I agree that "Configuring the proxy" is not a good solution.
