May I ask if you could try your benchmark with a CXF version patched with CXF-6826 changes
? Last time I profiled this section of the code most of the time was spent on internally converting
the media type strings to MediaType objects, which is what CXF-6826 addresses.

I have tried add the cache for CXF in ProviderFactory and been proved that it has improved
7-8% for json requests in JMeter. Please let me know if you'd like me to add the enhancement
