Subject [jira] [Commented] (CXF-5576) Initital support for CDI integration
Date Sun, 16 Mar 2014 18:51:43 GMT

Sergey Beryozkin commented on CXF-5576:

Hi Christian,

As far as I understand, your idea is to deal with the servlet inside the actual extension,
right ? If yes then it can't be better than having a simple dedicated servlet for the reasons
I specified earlier. May be I misunderstand. If I do then I'd say CXFCdiservlet is a better
name to CXFNonSpringServlet anyway... I do not see what exactly CXFCdiServlet reinvents, it
interacts with CDI Bean manager...

Can you clarify please what exactly you have in mind, without writing a complete demo ?

> A per section 10.2.3 Context and Dependency Injection (CDI) of JAX-RS 2.0 specification,
in a product that supports CDI, the implementations MUST support the use of CDI-style Beans
as root resource classes, providers and Application subclasses. Providers and Application
subclasses MUST be singletons or use application scope.
