Subject [jira] [Commented] (CXF-5576) Initital support for CDI integration
Date Sun, 16 Mar 2014 17:47:47 GMT

Andriy Redko commented on CXF-5576:

Hey guys,

I have experimented a lot with bean instantiation models and I guess we are close to have
quite generic implementation. I was able to add JAXRSServerFactoryBean(s) as CDI bean(s) in
our portable extension. The servlet's code is super easy now as it does only two things: set
the bus and initialize the JAXRSServerFactoryBean instance. If we can abstract over the init/create
lifecycle, we won't depend on JAXRS
specifically anymore. Please take a look as time allows.

> A per section 10.2.3 Context and Dependency Injection (CDI) of JAX-RS 2.0 specification,
in a product that supports CDI, the implementations MUST support the use of CDI-style Beans
as root resource classes, providers and Application subclasses. Providers and Application
subclasses MUST be singletons or use application scope.
