Sergey Beryozkin commented on CXF-5417:
---------------------------------------

Hi Andriy

Can you give me a favor and try the same with Tomcat 7 ? If that also does not work then we
can stop looking at this particular option and take a pause. Perhaps we can settle later on
on sending keep-alives via Socket to a CXF client-created Server socket (i.e, document that
ConnectionCallback will only be effective if CXF clients are used or if 3rd party clients
are ready to support keep-alive pings), but it is obvious some more analysis and research
would need to be done over a period of time, so not good to keep you spending all the time
on this issue only

Please try Tomcat and then we can consider doing something else :-)

Thanks, Sergey

> lets JAX-RS 2.0 applications receive the notifications when a given client has disconnected.
> We can probably build something on top of the Jetty-specific connector and also enhance
CXF Continuation API.
