Subject [jira] Commented: (CXF-2833) Source jars for osgi jars should work in Eclipse PDE mode
Date Sun, 13 Jun 2010 01:07:15 GMT

Daniel Kulp commented on CXF-2833:

The shade plugin creates the source jar as part of it's work, but it's configured to only
do so in "deploy" profile. You'll need to run like:

mvn -Pdeploy,nochecks install

It's likely to download a ton of stuff (all the source jars for all the cxf things it's shading),
but it should complete and create the source jar.

> Currently the source jar of osgi bundles like cxf bundle minimal does not contain the
necessary entries for eclipse to recognize it. The missing entries are:
> Bundle-SymbolicName: org.apache.cxf.cxf-bundle-minimal.source
> Eclipse-SourceBundle:org.apache.cxf.cxf-bundle-minimal;version="2.3.0.qualifier"
> Bundle-Version: 2.3.0.qualifier
> In camel there was a similar issue that could be ssolved with the maven-source-plugin:
> In this case the shade plugin is used and I am not sure how to influence the manifest
of the source jar. Any idea how to do this?
