Daniel: for WSDLs you really should have a dependency if not Maven won't know that your project
depend on it and might use a old version of the WSDL (becasue it will use the previous build)
and for new developers it might fail completely as it's not even been built before.

Christian: I would definitely not use <wsdl> as it will be confusing for users. If you're
on windows it is legal for a path to contain a ":". Same goes for "file://" URLs.
