If this is going to to get fixed, I'm going to need a reproduceable test case.   I've attempted to reproduce it here and haven't been able to.   I've shut off the network adapter, I've attempted to wireshark sniffer to see traffic, etc... and I cannot see it ever going off to the internet right now.
