Subject [jira] Commented: (CXF-235) Bug in Ant script when trying to build samples/hello_world demo
Date Tue, 14 Nov 2006 09:20:38 GMT

Fintan Bolton commented on CXF-235:
-----------------------------------

Here is the error I get when I try to run the hello_world demo:

Buildfile: build.xml

BUILD FAILED
C:\Programs\Inferno\samples\hello_world\build.xml:22: The following error occurred while executing
this line:
C:\Programs\Inferno\samples\common_build.xml:35: The file or path you specified
(..\..\..\..\target\srcbuild_paths.xml) is invalid relative to C:\Programs\Inferno\samples

Total time: 0 seconds

The error might be triggered by the fact that ..\..\..\..\target\srcbuild_paths.xml tries
to look four directories up from C:\Programs\Inferno, which brings you beyond the root directory.

> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CXF-235
> Project: CXF
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 2.0-M1
> Environment: Windows XP
> Reporter: Fintan Bolton
> Priority: Minor
>
> When you try to build the samples/hello_world demo, ant complains that there is no such
file as ../../../../target/srcbuild_paths.xml.
> It turns out that there are a few lines in samples/common_build.xml devoted to defining
some files for the source distribution. You can work around the
> problem by commenting out those lines.
> This problem arose in the version of CXF that was included in the Inferno kit built on
Nov. 9. This was a BINARY kit. It looks as if the samples/common.build.xml file accidentally
included some lines that were intended for the SOURCE kiit.
