James Joseph Masanz commented on CTAKES-408:

how are you running the AE - are you using runctakesCVD? If so, you edit that file (runctakesCVD.bat
or runctakesCVD.sh) using a text editor

Note that in the java command's arguments, you don't literally use the angle brackets, it
would be something like

java -Dctakes.umlsuser=patrickchanou -Dctakes.umlspw=YourPassword -cp ...

where you replace YourPassword with your umls password

The angle brackets were just meant to indicate where you would put your information

> How and where do I edit the files to do the task below in order to load the AE. My AE
doesn't work when I try to load AggregatePlaintextFastUMLSProcessor.xml
> 2. Edit the following files. Find the line in each script that runs java and add the
ctakes.umlsuser and ctakes.umlspw parameters to the java command with your credentials. Make
sure you substitute your actual ID and password if you cut and paste the example.
> java -Dctakes.umlsuser=<patrickchanou> -Dctakes.umlspw=<Wizdom31> -cp ...
