You mean the one-shot _temp_view. But there's no reason the app couldn't cre=
ate bona fide views in a design doc if it wanted to. These would persist and=
 be as efficient as any other.

Yeah; a view is more like a SQL index, that makes many different queries pos=
sible at runtime.
