Looks like there's either a problem with your system clock or with the
time reported on the files in you utils directory. Can you paste the
output of these two commands?

$ date
Sat Dec 19 13:11:19 EST 2009
$ ls -alh /usr/local/share/couchdb/www/index.html
-rw-r--r--  1 davisp  staff   3.1K Sep  6 23:20
/usr/local/share/couchdb/www/index.html
