I would like the sentence struck.

Related to that, the sentence "As an officer of the Foundation, the Chair h=
as extraordinary powers, up-to and including the disbandment of the entire =
PMC. While the use of such powers is obviously not expected, if it could be=
 justified to the Board, the Chair has the power to enact any sort of chang=
e." needs a citation. I can=E2=80=99t quite find this language elsewhere in=
 the ASF but would gladly accept a pointer.

That the Chair has an oversight role is obvious and non-controversial. The =
language in our bylaws implies that the Chair is the leader and supreme con=
troller, and I=E2=80=99m not signing on to that.
