    one harsh alternative would be setting overflow-x to hidden on #dashboard (probably with
selector limited down a little more). It produces the same result that (the revised) max-width
does: one scroll bar:

    I doubt that overflow-x is less invasive, however. I did not find a way to tweak the width
set by resizeColumns.js so that it produces a better result.
