Subject [jira] [Commented] (COUCHDB-2113) Database search doesn't works as expected
Date Sun, 09 Mar 2014 01:47:42 GMT

Alexander Shorin commented on COUCHDB-2113:

[~robertkowalski] how it does? I just enter letter "c" and hit the "Enter" expecting to filter
the database list by this character in database name, but I got "Database not found" error
instead. I also clicked on the button - same behaviour. Finally, I entered full database name
and click on the button and Fauxton shows me that database. I couldn't interpreter such behaviuor
for field with search-icon-on-the-submit-button as "it works".

If you're about suggestion list, yes, it happens. But you'll probably noticed the delay before
it shows. I'm pretty sure it's because Fauxton made `GET /_all_dbs` request on where entered
char - I wonder why not to cache this list instead to improve UX.

> There is database search box on the main page. Actually, it searches database only if
you enter full and correct name into the field. That's not what user expected when it see
magnifier symbol on the button. It expects that he'll enter {{mail}} and Fauxton will show
him the next list:
> - mailbox
> - Mike/mail
> - Mike/mail/spam
