Subject [jira] [Commented] (COUCHDB-1940) Add digest_raw and size_raw to compressed _attachments entries

Robert Newson commented on COUCHDB-1940:
----------------------------------------

We can do this when the values are available, which is not all the time. Notably, if the attachment
was compressed by the client (and marked as such with Content-Encoding:gzip) then couchdb
has no idea what the original length or md5 was.

> When attachments are compressed on disk, the `size` and `digest` refer the compressed
size and md5. It would be nice if I had access to `size_raw` and `digest_raw` of the uncompressed
data.
> It is not necessary to back-fill, necessarily, but having that moving forward would be
a big help.
