I've had quite a lot of trouble getting make distcheck to work on debian
squeeze with either libmozjs-dev or with manually building spidermonkey
1.8.5. Everytime it hangs on the 3rd test:

Segmentation fault
Apache CouchDB crashed, restarting in 1 second.
Apache CouchDB has been shutdown.

I experimented with running make check once a few times as make distcheck
appears to rerun configure, and I was manually specifying the js lib and
include paths. One one run I was able to get it to pass through test 3,
test 4 then failed, but the rest of the tests passed. The output on test 4
is:
