Subject [jira] [Commented] (COUCHDB-1640) build instructions broken for Debian
Date Sat, 12 Jan 2013 18:26:12 GMT

Miles Fidelman commented on COUCHDB-1640:

The Debian package for stable (squeeze) is ancient - it installs CouchDB 0.11.

I've installed libmozjs185-dev, from source, on stable, and then tried building the latest
CouchDB from source. It builds, passes all but one make check (#200), installs and runs, but....
it fails 32 of the developer tests. I expect it has to do with one of the magic configuration
strings for ./configure - probably a bunch of the tests are not finding something, but....
kinda hard to tell.
