Subject [jira] [Resolved] (COUCHDB-1207) Security Issue when importing .couch files to another CouchDB
Date Thu, 30 Jun 2011 10:40:28 GMT

Robert Newson resolved COUCHDB-1207.

    Resolution: Not A Problem

The act of copying the .couch file to an unsecured server is not safe but that's not couchdb's
fault. Replicate your _users database to the target and ensure the target server is trusted
and secured, before copying databases.

> When you are importing a database (*.couch) via the file system which has restricted
access for a specific user (e.g. only admin) and this user is not existing on the target system
where you are importing the file you have access to this database.
