Subject [jira] Commented: (COUCHDB-1078) Port couchjs to newest libmozjs
Date Tue, 01 Mar 2011 18:32:37 GMT

Paul Joseph Davis commented on COUCHDB-1078:

Hah "There were ... several ... changes made between 1.7.0 and 1.8.5"

I was wondering about the JSFastNative bits. I couldn't quite remember how 1.7 handled that
or if I'd just seen them marked as new in 1.8.

Also, as soon as Mozilla puts out a functional release tarball (especially if they finally
include a working configure </rage>) I'd be more than happy to bump our official requirement
to use that. Though I've heard of such attempts for multiple years now so up until the moment
I see it on their FTP site I'm going to run with the assumption that 1.7 is the only usable
official release.

It would be nice to add support to couchjs for the latest libmozjs so Linux distro's don't
have to support old versions of it.
