Michele,

you're probably doing a push replication from a version < 1.0 to 1.0.x, right?

In CouchDB 1.0.x, all POST requestes must have a Content-Type of "application/json". This
was added to prevent Cross Site Request Forgery (originating from a browser) attacks.

The replicator sends POST requests to a remote target (_bulk_docs API), so that is likely
explains your "bad_content_type" error.
