The format of attachments is enhanced to permit efficient seeking also. I deliberately do not support the Range header when the data is stored compressed at this time. I'm doing this in my spare time, so expect updates on weekends. That said, I got everything on this branch done over last weekend, so I don't anticipate completion to be far off. I would like it to be working and committed to trunk before the start of CouchCamp. > Range Request support for attachments > ------------------------------------- > > Key: COUCHDB-161 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-161 > Project: CouchDB > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: HTTP Interface > Affects Versions: 0.11 > Reporter: Dean Landolt > Assignee: Robert Newson > Priority: Minor > Fix For: 0.12 > > > Support for byte ranges in attachment requests (a la http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html#sec14.35) would allow couch to be a more robust data store for media-heavy applications, for instance, streaming audio or video. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - You can reply to this email to add a comment to the issue online.
